Description
The IS: 12585 Thermoplastic Fire Hose is manufactured to meet the BIS Standard IS:12585:1988, ensuring it is highly durable and suitable for use in demanding firefighting conditions. This hose is made from a thermoplastic hybrid compound, providing excellent resistance to abrasion, heat, and fire. Its reinforced nylon braided yarn ensures strength and flexibility, while the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material gives it inherent fire-retardant properties.
This hose is available in two nominal bore sizes—20 mm and 25 mm—designed to withstand working pressures of 10.2 Kgs/Cm² and bursting pressures of 32.5 Kgs/Cm². The hose’s construction is tested to work under certified pressure on calibrated machines, ensuring reliable performance during firefighting operations. It has a working temperature of approximately 65°C, allowing it to function without kinking, melting, or collapsing under normal conditions.
The fire hose features an optional fluted finish, providing improved abrasion resistance, kink resistance, and enhanced grip, especially when used with wet hands. Its self-extinguishing properties make it a safe and reliable choice for safety-critical applications.
