Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems

For environments where traditional water-based fire suppression could cause damage, Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems offer the ideal solution. At InTime Fire Appliances Pvt. Ltd., we provide two leading clean agents—IG-541and HFC-227ea (FK-5112)—both engineered to suppress fires quickly, efficiently, and without harming sensitive equipment or the environment.

These clean agents are perfect for areas housing high-value assets or critical operations, such as data centers, telecommunications rooms, museums, and healthcare facilities. Designed to extinguish fires without leaving residue or conducting electricity, they offer rapid protection without the collateral damage associated with water, foam, or powder-based systems.

What Are IG-541 and HFC-227ea (FK-5112)?

IG-541

IG-541 is an inert gas mixture comprising 52% nitrogen, 40% argon, and 8% carbon dioxide. It works by reducing the oxygen levels in the protected area, suppressing combustion without compromising the safety of occupants.

HFC-227ea

HFC-227ea (also known as FK-5112 or Heptafluoropropane) is a synthetic chemical agent that extinguishes fires primarily by absorbing heat. It is widely recognized for its fast action and suitability for protecting sensitive environments.

How Clean Agent Suppression Works

Explore our range of installation and commissioning services:

Fire Detection

The system continuously monitors the area for fire hazards using advanced smoke and heat detectors.

System Activation

Upon detection of a fire, the system releases either IG-541 or HFC-227ea into the protected area.

Fire Suppression

  • IG-541 works by displacing oxygen levels to below 15%, a level where combustion is not sustainable, effectively extinguishing the fire.
  • HFC-227ea absorbs the heat from the fire, cooling the flames and stopping the combustion process.

Minimal Damage

The agents are non-conductive and do not corrode or harm sensitive electronics, making them ideal for critical infrastructure and equipment protection.

  • Rapid Fire Suppression: Both agents provide quick and efficient suppression, reacting within seconds of fire detection.
  • No Residue: These clean agents leave no residues behind, ensuring that sensitive equipment remains unaffected after activation.
  • Safe for Sensitive Equipment: Ideal for protecting data centers, IT rooms, archives, and more, without the risk of damage from suppression agents.
  • Environmentally Responsible: IG-541 is a natural, non-toxic gas with no ozone depletion potential (ODP) or global warming potential (GWP). HFC-227ea is engineered to be eco-friendly, with a low GWP and no ODP.
  • Safe for Occupants: Both agents are safe for use in areas where people may be present, allowing for safe evacuation during fire suppression.
  • Fast Reset: Clean-up and system reset are quick, minimizing downtime and disruption after an event.

  • Fast and Reliable Suppression: Both agents act rapidly to extinguish fires at their earliest stage, minimizing the risk of spread and damage.

  • Protects High-Value Assets: These clean agents are non-damaging to delicate equipment, making them ideal for environments where traditional suppression methods could cause costly damage.

  • Environmentally Friendly: IG-541 consists of naturally occurring gases and has no adverse environmental effects. HFC-227ea is a chemical agent with low environmental impact.

  • Safe for Occupants: Designed to maintain a breathable atmosphere, these systems are safe to use in occupied spaces during an emergency.

  • Compliant with Global Standards: Both IG-541 and HFC-227ea systems comply with international fire safety standards, including UL, FM, NFPA, and ISO regulations.

  • System Integration: These fire suppression systems can be integrated with existing fire detection and alarm systems for comprehensive protection.
  • Minimal Maintenance: Clean agent systems are designed to be low-maintenance, offering years of reliable fire protection.
  • Customizable Solutions: We design systems to match the specific needs of your facility, providing scalable solutions for small or large environments.
